Traditional grilling
This faction is intended for grilling small size dishes (ste-
aks, kebabs, sausages, ish, toasts, krouts, etc.)
The dish should be placed on a baking tray or a roasting
spit on the middle level of the oven.
The grilling time is assumed approximately 8-10 minutes
per each centimeter of thickness.
Before starting to grill your dish, pre-heat the oven at a ma-
ximum temperature.
At half grilling time, turn the dish upside down.
When grilling meat on a roasting-spit, place a drip tray illed
with ca. 0.5 l of water under the grilled dish on a lower level
of the oven.
NOTE !
When grilling, the accessible parts of the co-
oker may become very hot. Keep small chil-
dren away from the appliance.
Grilling with the roasting-spit
Roasting-spit is used for rotary grilling of poultry, sausages,
kebabs, etc.
A dish may also be grilled conventionally without the ro-
asting-spit.
Description to ig. 10.2.4.
1 – grill heater; 2 – roasting-spit drive; 3 – forks; 4 – spit;
5 – baking tray (drip tray); 6 – roasting-spit frame; 7 – handle
Operation of the oven:
remove all unnecessary accessories from the oven and mo-
–
unt the roasting-spit frame (6);
slide one fork (3) onto the spit (4) and thread the meat on
–
it; make sure the meat is placed symmetrically along the
spit (4);
slide the second fork in (3) and secure it in its position by
–
tightening the screw (ig. 10.2.4, 10.2.5);
insert the pointed end of spit into the roasting-spit drive (2),
–
push it all the way in and rest the other end of the spit on
the frame (6);
slide a drip tray (5) in the oven on level (1), remove the
–
handle (7) and close the oven door;
set the oven control knob to
–
or
, adjust the tem-
perature and set the time of grilling.
after grilling, open the oven door, screw the handle back
–
into place and remove the roasting spit from the oven. Re-
move the screw on the fork, slide the fork off and remove
the food from the spit.
Grilling with the roasting-spit and the fan
The grill burner, roasting-spit drive and the fan are turned
on. Instructions on how to operate the roasting-spit are gi-
ven above.
The heat is evenly distributed around the dish rotated on
the spit, thus ensuring faster grilling and better browning of
dish surface. This function is particularly suitable for grilling
large portions of meat.
Grilling with the fan
To grill a dish without the roasting spit, put the dish on the
grid and grill it conventionally with the fan turned on.
BOOSTER (the grill heater, circular heater and fan are
active)
This function enables fast oven heat-up. Within 4 minutes,
the temperature in the oven reaches 160°C and within ca.
5 minutes it climbs to 180°C, etc. Lower and higher tempe-
ratures are reached within shorter or longer time spans.
Using this function:
remove all baking trays and tins from the oven;
–
set the oven control knob to
–
set the desired temperature using the temperature adju-
–
stment knob;
after the oven has heat-up to the selected temperature,
–
the red indicator light goes off;
put the dish in the oven;
–
select oven function, e.g.
–
using the oven control
knob. The dish is now being prepared in the oven;
you may use the programmer to set the baking time.
–
Turbo heater (the circular heater and the fan are tur-
ned on)
This function is particularly useful for cooking two dishes of
the same (or similar) kind at the same time, placed on two
different levels in the oven. The two dishes should require
similar cooking temperatures.
When cooking two dishes, remember to set the oven tem-
perature slightly higher and the cooking time slightly longer
than recommended for baking a single dish only.
It is best to turn the pan back to front at the end of baking.
Turbo heater and lower heater turned on
The heat is distributed evenly around the dish which is ad-
ditionally heated at the bottom by the lower heater.
Defrosting
With the fan turned on, the heat is distributed evenly aro-
und the dish, thereby ensuring regular defrosting of frozen
foods. This function is suitable for all types of frozen foods.
Frozen vegetables may be prepared straight away without
defrosting.
10.3 Temperature adjustment knob (ig. 10.3.1)
The temperature adjustment knob enables to adjust the
temperature in the oven and to automatically maintain it at
the desired level.
Adjusting the temperature – turn the knob right to set the
desired value.
After baking – turn the knob all the way left and set it to zero
indicated by a symbol of a dot (•).
10.4 Indicator light (2.1.2)
The indicator light
indicates that the temperature adjustment
knob has been used. The light appears when the temperature
adjustment knob has been set to a particular temperature and
goes off when the selected temperature has been reached in the
oven. If a dish is to be placed in a preheated oven, it should be
done when the indicator light goes off for the irst time. The light
will turn on or off to maintain the set temperature in the oven.
10.5 Accessories
Baking tray (10.5.1)
Baking grid (10.5.2)
Roasting-spit frame (for selected models - ig. 10.5.3)
