NOTE !
The mains socket should be easily acces-
1.
sible to the user.
Make sure that the power cord does not
2.
come into contact with any hot parts of
the cooker.
8.1 After unpacking the appliance, remove all the protective ele-
ments. Do not connect the cooker if it is damaged.
8.2 Remove all stickers from the appliance. Clean all parts of the
cooker thoroughly to remove any remaining glue.
8.3 Wipe the enamelled and glass surfaces with a soft damp
cloth.
8.4 Make sure that all parts of the burners are positioned cor-
rectly.
8.5 Remove the equipment and foil from the oven and clean it
with warm water with added detergent.
8.6 Set the current time after connecting the cooker to the elec-
tricity supply. Instructions for use of the electronic program-
mer are explained further in the manual.
8.7 Before irst use, close the oven door, select the
or
function, set the temperature to 250
o
C and turn the oven on
for ca. 30 minutes. The oven must be empty when heated. A
little smoke and unpleasant smell may be produced during
this procedure, however this is normal and is caused by the
removal of the grease used in the manufacturing process.
Ventilate the room. After the oven has cooled down, wipe it
with a soft damp cloth.
9.1 Gas burners (9.1.1)
A - sparker
B - end of thermocouple (lame safety device)
9.2 Knobs
The gas low in particular burners is opened and closed with the
use of knobs itted on the gas taps. Before turning on a burner,
make sure that the knob you are about to turn corresponds to the
burner which is to be used. The burners and their corresponding
knobs are shown in ig. (9.2.1).
put hob burners’ lids and rings back into place;
–
adjust the gas taps;
–
check the connections for soundness.
–
6.4 Adjusting the gas burner taps
The adjustment of gas taps is accomplished by setting the lame
on the burner in the simmering position.
Adjusting the taps:
open the gas low with the knob and light the burner to be
–
adjusted;
set the knob in the simmering lame position
–
, and then,
maintaining that position, remove the knob from the tap pin
and watch the burner’s lame;
turn the adjustment screw “
–
A
” (6.4.1) and watch the lame;
set the lame to such a size that will prevent it from being
extinguished by a slight draught or during the operation of
quickly turning the knob from the full to the simmering posi-
tion of the lame and back;
the adjustment is correct when the core of the lame is co-
–
ne-shaped in green and blue colour and is ca 2 - 4mm tall;
if there are perceptible changes of gas pressure in the gas
–
supply system (change in the size of lame at full low), the
simmering lame should be set when pressure in the sys-
tem is low to prevent the burner from extinguishing during
normal use;
upon adjusting the taps, put the knob back in its position
–
and turn off the lame.
7.1 Cookers equipped with a power cord with a plug must be
connected to a mains socket properly itted with an earth
contact (7.1.1)
7.2 If the power cord is not itted with a plug, the plug must be
connected to it. The cord must be itted with a plug with
a proper grounding prong. Before connecting to a power
supply, ensure that:
the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the ma-
–
ins voltage at the site where the appliance is connected;
the performance of the power supply at the place of con-
–
nection is suficient to meet the maximum power require-
ments of the appliance, as speciied on the nameplate
