NMEA
CLIENT
Click
the
Enable
NMEA
Client
button
and
adjust
the
Port
,
Baud
rate
,
Data
bits
,
Stop
bits
,
and
Parity
selections.
All
GMR
models
have
a
client
that
can
be
enabled
to
decode
NMEA
0183
messages
coming
from
marine
electronic
devices
such
as
an
echo
sounder,
sonar,
gyrocompass,
autopilot
and
GPS.
Any
one
of
the
following
NEMA
messages
can
be
used
for
time
synchronization.

ZDA
$GP
RMC
$GP
GGA
$GP
GLL
Before
showing
how
to
enable
NMEA,
keep
in
mind
that
NMEA,
NENA
and
Truetime/Kinemetrics
use
the
same
port,
(the
RS
‐
232
port)
so
only
one
can
be
enabled
at
a
time.
This
is
true
for
their
input
as
well
as
output,
so
only
one
client
of
any
kind
can
be
enabled,
or
one
generator
of
any
kind.

The
NENA
client
can
synchronize
to
Format
“0”,
