5.3 Hook-up to central stations of other manufacturers
Digital central stations of other manufacturers may not provide a separate booster terminal or
an CDE interface. These central stations may only be connected to the DiMAX
® 1200B digital
booster via the DCC IN input terminal. A feedback between booster and central station is not
possible in this case. Please note that the central station must not be connected to the track
at all! The operation works only via digital booster(s). The central station only serves as a
digital data producer.

Bit
Bit is short for binary digit the smallest unit of data in a computer taking a value of either
“0” or “1”. 8 bit sum up to one byte.
●
Booster
A booster is an amplifier in a DCC system to add additional track power to the layout.
