250 HOUR SERVICE 

2.01D-05 

Servicing 

The  following operations are  to  be  carried out  after  250 

hours  running  or  before  the  end  of  the  warranty  period 

which ever is first by  the Dealer service engineer. 

Engine 

1. Change the engine oil.
2. Change the engine oil filter.

Fuel system and air cleaner 

3. Check the air cleaner, change the oil or clean the filter it

necessary.

Cooling System 

4. Check the coolant level and replenish if necessary.

5. Check  the  alternator/tan  belt  tension  and  adjust  it

necessary.

Electrical System 

6. Check the tightness of the battery connections, ensure

that  the  battery  is  clean  and  that  the  terminals  are

covered with petroleum jelly.

7. Check the tightness of all cable clips and terminals and

check all wiring tor chafing.

8. Check the operation of the safety start switches.

Front Axle and Steering 

9. Check the power steering pump oil level and top-up if

necessary.

10. Check the front axle oil level (tour-wheel drive), top up it

necessary.

11. Check  the  front  axle  epicyclic  oil  level  (tour-wheel

drive), top up it necessary.

Transmission and Hydraulics 

12. Check the transmission oil level top-up it necessary.
13. Check the oil in the rear epicyclic hubs and top-up it

necessary  (heavy-duty  axles only).

14. Check the torque of all wheel and rim nuts and bolts.
15. Check the tyre pressures and adjust it necessary.

Clutch and Brakes 

16. Check  the  clutch  pedal  tree  travel  and  adjust  it 

necessary.

17. Check  the  live  PTO  clutch  setting  and  adjust  if 

necessary.

18. Check the toot brakes and adjust if necessary.
19. Check the parking brake and adjust it necessary.

General 

20. Lubricate all grease points.
21. Lightly oil the clutch linkage, throttle linkage both hand

and toot.

  

Servicing the Tractor 

22. Check  all  brake  rods  and  cables  for  signs  of  rust,

damage or excessive wear.

23. Road test the tractor,  checking all instruments,  lights

and services for correct functioning, in the event of any 

fault being found  this must be corrected.

24. After the  road test,  check for leaks in the  oil, coolant

and fuel systems.

25. Enquire  if  any  operational  difficulties  are  being

experienced by the Owner, correct or demonstrate as 

necessary.

26. Complete the 2nd Service record card.
