Troubleshooting
When the vacuum is not in the range of 10e-1
mBar (make sure the Vespel disk is in place, see
Figure 6), the position of the interface to the MS
might be wrong and needs to be re-adjusted.
For that, you have to loosen the knurled screw

(see Figure 33) and adjust the distance of the
interface with the two Allen screws (see Figure 34)
by watching the vacuum readback of the mass
spectrometer. Turning the screws out will bring
the interface closer to the MS and result in better
vacuum.
