6.1 Safety Instructions
6.2 Weekly maintenance
1. Switch off the power supply of the conveyor belt and any other
equipment and secure these against being switched on inad-
vertently.
2. Remove all material deposits from the cleaner blade and the
mainframe.
3. Check that all securing parts are tightened. Tighten any loose
connections as required.
4. Check the tension of the cleaner and tighten it if necessary.
5. Check if the cleaner blades are worn out, damaged or parts are
missing.
NOTE
Maintenance inspections should take place at least once a week.
Depending on operational conditions, shorter maintenance inter-
vals may be necessary.
NOTE
Read this chapter thoroughly prior to commencing any work.
WARNING! DANGER OF INJURY!
Body parts and/or clothing may get caught and pulled in by rotat-
ing parts or by the moving conveyor belt.
Before maintenance work is carried out, ensure that all power
sources to the conveyor belt system and its accessories are
switched off and secured against inadvertent switching-on.
