Remove the trap alignment tool. 

 

NEVER SWITCH UNITY 2 ON WITH THE TRAP ALIGNMENT TOOL INSTALLED

Holding onto the glass collar of the cold trap, gently push the trap tube into the cold trap box.  

 

DO NOT APPLY EXCESSIVE FORCE TO THE QUARTZ COLD TRAP TUBE

As the cold trap contacts the o-ring seal at the heated valve end there will be an increased resistance 
to movement. The trap must be pushed in a further 2-3mm to ensure it is correctly seated in this o-
ring. 

NOTE

:   Once the trap is properly inserted the glass collar should be approximately 1 mm from the 

black plate
