Safety Instructions
Safe operation of the device is only possible if the operating
instructions are completely read and strictly adhered to.
In addition, the general safety instructions in the attached
booklet must be followed. It is advised on practice runs before
the first use.
If the mains cable gets damaged or cut during the use, do not touch it, but
immediately pull the plug out of the socket. Never use the tool with a damaged
mains cable.
Before drilling into walls and ceilings, check them for hidden power cables, gas,
water pipes and any other media. Check the working area, e.g. using a metal
detector. Prior to the start of your work, consult a structural engineer to determine
the exact hole drilling position. When drilling through ceilings, secure the area
below, as the core can fall down.
The device must not be damp or operated in a humid environment.
Work area safety:
•
Keep your work area clean and with good visibility.
•
Do not operate the power tool in a potentially explosive environment in which
flammable liquids, gases or dust are present.
•
Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
•
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.
•
Persons under 16 years are not allowed to use the tool.
Electrical safety:
•
The plug of the power tool must fit into the correct socket.
•
Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed
(grounded) power tools.
•
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes,
radiators, ranges and refrigerators.
•
Do not expose power tools to rain or any moisture.
•
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging
the power tool.
•
Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
•
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for
outdoor use only.If operating a power tool in a damp environment is
unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) 230v only.
