3. Choose Copy from the pop-up window, OSD will di-
splay as the following picture.
4. Select „USB”as the destination and then specify a
directory on USB device for the copied files (shown
as below).
5. You need to wait for a while during file copying. The
bigger file size the longer waiting time.
6. After copy finished, a same file will appear under the
Audio folder on USB device.
HDD USB
1. Select the file to copy and then press the EDIT/
COPY key on the remote. Note that this operation
is only available when the system under the HDD
mode.
2. Choose Copy from the pop-up window, the following
interface will display.

corresponding folder on the USB device.
Play and Edit Files in
USB Device
Play Files in USB Device
In USB Title List interface, the three supported types of
multimedia file folder are displayed.
– MPEG4 – AVI Video file
– Audio – MP3/WMA Audio file
– Picture – JPG/BMP/GIF Image file
Take MPEG4 for example to show how to play a multi-
media file in a USB device.
1. Insert a USB device. Then, the MPEG4 folder will
be highlighted by default, for the system can identify
and locate MPEG4 folder automatically; and the re-
corded files will be saved in the RECORD subfolder.
2. Choose a MPEG subfolder to list files.
3. You can choose to play a file in the selected folder.
4. Highlight a desired file and press ENTER to play.
It is the same way to play Audio and Picture files as
MPEG4 does.
The DVD-P+HDD+USB system affords an informative
interface as following, which gives more references for you
before playing a file. When you select a MPEG4 or a Pictu-
re file, the thumbnail will appear on the left side of screen.
But for Audio file, only text information can be shown.
Edit Files in USB Device
This DHR (DVD-P+HDD+USB) system supports three
edit operations to the files on HDD: Rename, Delete and
Copy. Rename and Delete operations will be introduced as
following; and Copy operation is described in section 6.3 .
Rename
Select a file and press the EDIT key, the system will
prompt a dialog box as below.
Select Rename and then rename the selected file in the
following interface.
Highlight OK and press ENTER to finish this operation.
Delete
Select a file and press the EDIT key, the system will
prompt a dialog box as below. Select Delete and then follo-
wing the on-screen prompts to finish this operation.
Transcoding to HDD/USB
The DVD-P+HDD+USB system is enhanced by trans-
coding disc to HDD or USB device. In DVD mode, the
playing disc content can be recorded to HDD or USB de-
vice synchronously. In current system, only DVD-format
disc file can be recorded to HDD or USB device with the
MPEG4 format.
Transcoding to HDD
1. Switch the system to DVD mode.
2. Press RECORD, the following prompt-up dialog will
appear; then select a target medium to start recor-
ding.
3. Press STOP to stop the recording at a proper posi-
tion. “REC STOP” will appear on screen.
The recording will sure be stopped after a while.
Transcoding to USB
1. Switch the system to DVD mode.
2. Press RECORD, the following prompt-up dialog will
appear; then select a target medium to start recor-
ding.
3. Press STOP to stop the recording at a proper posi-
tion. “REC STOP” will appear on screen.
4. The recording will sure be stopped after a while.
