Connect your recorder with the S-Video cable, if the Si-
gnal Source has an S-Video output. Do not connect the
yellow video cable if using the S-Video cable.
NOTE:
Refer to the manual of the connected system.
Turn off the power and unplug both units before set-
ting up any connections.
Initial Setup
Initial Setup
You can initial setup the recorder according to your ta-
ste. To bring out the Initial Setup guide.v
1. Press POWER on the remote to start the recorder.
2. Press SYSTEM MENU to pop out the System menu.
3. Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT to move the highli-
ght rectangle to the Initial Setup item, and then press
ENTER.
The Initial Setup item will guide you to initialize the re-
corder step by step.
Sys language
To select one, press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT to highli-
ght a desired language and then press ENTER.
TV Type
Three selections: 16:9, 4:3 Letter Box, 4:3 Pan Scan.
TV Signal
Two selections: (from) Antenna or Cable.
SPDIF Output
Selections: Analog Connection or no AMP, Digital Con-
nection, PCM Output, Dolby Digital, and Dolby D
DTS.
System Date and Time
Press the LEFT/RIGHT key to move the highlight.
Press digit keys on the remote to input digits.
Press ENTER to continue.
