RAW”Available when the recorder connects to a power
amplifier via coaxial or optical jacks. For a Dolby Digital,
DTS, or MPEG disc, the output data from the recorder will
be the corresponding raw digital data. Of course, the con-
nected amplifier should be capable of decoding Dolby Di-
gital, DTS, or MPEG.
OFF”Turn the SPDIF Output function off. No data output
from coaxial or optical jacks.
Recording
Press LEFT/UP/DOWN to select a desired recording
quality and then press ENTER.
TV Tuner
TV Signal
Set the receiving mode of TV signal: Antenna or Cable.
Auto Tuning
The recorder provides an Auto Tuning function that can
search TV channels automatically and save them in the re-
corder with a certain order. However, this Auto Tuning func-
tion should be run again if the TV channel distribution is
changed by channel providers or the recorder is re-instal-
led. The following picture just is the Auto Tuning interface.
Channel set
By the Channel Set item in the Setup menu, you can see
and fine adjust the detailed information about channels.
Press UP/DOWN to highlight the Channel Set item, and
then press ENTER to enter the following interface in which
you can :
– Select a channel number.
– Set whether the selected channel is active.
– Fine tune the channel.
– Choose an audio format for the current channel out-
put.
– Select another channel number for swapping with
the current channel.
– Name the current channel.
– Tune a TV channel manually.
Timer Rec
Before recording, you need to check first if there is eno-
ugh memory space in HDD for recording.
Operations
Like the Timer Recording item in the Wizard menu, thro-
ugh the Timer Rec item in System Menu you can start to
record programs in schedule. But, all recording options are
set at one place.

Highlight the Timer Rec item in the System Menu
and then press ENTER, or press TIMER directly to
open the following Timer Record interface.

Press LEFT/RIGHT to select the Source item and
then press ENTER; you can choose a video source
on the pop-up menu.
