5 INSTALLATION
5.1 Transport
Please follow these instructions before transporting the appliance:
WARNING!
Risk of injury when setting down the appliance due to its heavy weight!
– Wear suitable safety shoes when transporting the appliance!
– Switch off the appliance at the main power switch and unplug the power cord from
the power socket in the base of the housing.
– Only use suitable transport aids such as furniture dollies, transport dollies, hand trucks
etc. designed to take the weight of the appliance!
– The appliance should always be transported by at least two people to prevent the
device falling over during transport.
– Never tip the appliance over the long side of the base, as it could fall over and cause
injury.
– If necessary (e.g. to place a furniture dolly underneath), carefully tip the appliance only
over the short side of the base!
– Applies to models with castors: The device can be moved and pushed using the
mounted castors. Before moving, make sure that the two castors on the side with the
air inlets are not locked.
– Check the appliance for any transport damage. If you find any damage on the
appliance, please contact the customer service of your sales partner.
5.2 Positioning

Make sure that you meet the following conditions when setting up the appliance:
– Only place and operate the appliance on flat, horizontal and dry surfaces.
– Observe the load capacity of the floor. You will find the weight of the appliance
on the type label.
– Do not operate the appliance in the bathroom or in rooms with high humidity.
– Place the appliance as far away as possible from the main entrance door of the
room to be ventilated.
– Observe the optimal distance to walls and objects according to the information in
Fig.
5.
– Make sure that the air inlet and outlet on the appliance is not blocked.
– If possible, distribute a number of appliances around a room so that the air is purified
in all areas.
– Applies to models with castors:
o After you have set up the device at its destination, lock the two castors on the
air-inlet
side.
o Always place the device with its back to a wall or a room partition of comparable
stability – observing the distances recommended in this chapter, so that the device
cannot be tipped over if it is accidentally knocked.
