Note(s)
• “PCM” stands for Pulse Code Modulation. It changes analog
sound to digital sound without compressing audio data.
• When the recording mode is set something other than XP, the
unit records “Dolby Digital” audio automatically even if “PCM”
is selected.
Setting Aspect Ratio for Video Mode
Recording
You can set aspect ratio for video mode recording.

Note(s)
• For DVD-RW VR mode, the image will be recorded with the
aspect ratio of the program being broadcast, regardless of the
“Aspect Ratio (Video mode)” setting.
Basic Recording & One-touch
Timer Recording
Follow the steps to record TV programs from an external
tuner. This unit is not equipped with a tuner; it cannot receive
TV broadcasts without an external tuner or such devices.
