8.5 LIS Interface

The Ultra User Application provides the capability to transmit approved patient test results using the

HL7 v2.5.1 standard. The LIS initiates the connection over TCP/IP on a specified port. Valid ports range

from 1 – 65535. Once the connection has been established, the Ultra User Application will transmit all

approved results per the format detailed in the document titled Connectivity to LIS.

NOTE:

Refer to the Connectivity to LIS document for LeadCare Ultra which

describes how data is transmitted between the Ultra application and an

external system such as LIS. If you need this document, please contact

Product Support.

To configure the parameters in the Ultra User App go to

Tools > LIS > Settings

•

In the LIS Configuration Box that opens (Figure 8-12), check the Enable LIS Interface option.

•

Enter the TCP port to be used for transfer of results. Valid ports range from1 – 65535.

•

Click the

Save

button.

NOTE: The Ultra User Application MUST BE RESTARTED

if one of the

parameters has been modified.

NOTE:

Only Admin accounts have the privileges to modify the LIS settings. All User

accounts can view the settings.
