Hydra LAN User Guide
5.3 USB Drives
USB drives connected to the Hydra LAN can be shared and accessed on the network or
data copied directly to the internal hard drives via USB copy function.
5.3.1 Sharing a USB Drive
A USB drive with the file system FAT32, EXT2 or EXT3 that is connected to the Hydra LAN
can be shared and accessed over the network via SMB or FTP.
Connect the USB drive to the Hydra LAN and then go to “My Network Places”. The
external drive will show up as “USB1” or “USB2” and you can access it to transfer files
without further login. Before disconnecting it, go to the “Disk Utility” menu and press the
“Unmount” button to eject the drive.
Note: To access the USB drive via FTP, leave the “md1” directory and you will find the
“usb1” or “usb2” folder in the root directory (top folder).
