To make connecting the lowering arms easier, turn lock
handle (A) counterclockwise and rotate rock shaft (B) so
that the supports are vertical.

Ensure bushings (A) are installed onto pins (B) on both sides
of the rock shaft.

Position a floor jack or equivalent under swath compressor
shield cross member (C).

Raise the shield with the jack sufficiently to connect
lowering arm (D) to pin (B) on rock shaft (G).

10. Secure lowering arm (D) to rock shaft (G) with washer (E)

and lynch pin (F). Repeat on the opposite side of the shield.

11. Lower the jack and remove it from the work area.
