Lubrication

6.4.1

Lubricating the Header

DANGER

To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of machine, always stop engine and remove key
from ignition before leaving operator

’

s seat for any reason.

•

Use the recommended lubricant specified in the pick-up header operator

’

s manual.

•

Wipe grease fittings with a clean cloth before greasing, to avoid injecting dirt and grit.

•

Inject grease through fitting with grease gun until grease overflows fitting, except where noted.

•

Leave excess grease on fitting to keep out dirt.

•

Replace any loose or broken fittings immediately.

•

If fitting will not take grease, remove and clean it thoroughly. Also clean lubricant passageway. Replace fitting if
necessary.
