To unload headers from a trailer, follow these steps:

Figure 3.1: Header Shipping

Move trailer into position on level ground, and then
block trailer wheels.

Lower trailer storage stands.

Approach side of trailer with forklift.

Adjust width of forks to line up with shipping stand
pockets (A).

Slowly slide the forks into the shipping stand pockets.

IMPORTANT:

Attempting to lift the header with forks not engaged in
lift pockets may result in an unstable load and/or
damage to shipping stands.

WARNING

Be sure forks are secure before moving away from load. Stand clear when lifting.

CAUTION

Avoid lifting the second header and ensure the forks do not interfere with the shipping frame. If the forks
contact the second header, damage to the headers may occur.

Raise header off deck and back up until forks clear
trailer.

Slowly lower to 150 mm (6 in.) from the ground.

Take header to storage or set up area, and place on
level hard ground.

Check header for shipping damage, and check
shipment for missing parts.
