IMPORTANT:
After setting the recommended reel clearance to cutterbar, while reel is still fully lowered, move reel back to
ensure steel end
fi
ngers do NOT contact de
fl
ector shields. If contact is detected, adjust reel upward until contact
to de
fl
ector shields is avoided at all reel fore/aft positions. Alternatively, with the reel fully lowered, trim the steel
end
fi
ngers until contact to de
fl
ector shields is avoided at all reel fore/aft positions. Periodically monitor to ensure
contact is avoided and repeat procedure if necessary.
1. Stop the engine and remove the key.
2. Adjust outboard reel arm lift cylinders to set clearance
at outboard ends of reel as follows:
a. Loosen bolt (A).
b. Turn cylinder rod (B) out of clevis to raise reel and
increase clearance to cutterbar, or turn cylinder rod
into clevis to lower reel and decrease clearance.
c. Tighten bolt (A).
d. Repeat at opposite side.

3.
For double reel only:
Adjust center arm lift cylinder
stop (A) to change clearance at inboard ends of reels
as follows:
NOTE:
Instructions apply to double-reel headers only
and are performed from the underside of the arm.
a. Loosen nut (B).
b. Turn nut (C) counterclockwise to raise reel and
increase clearance to cutterbar, or clockwise to
lower reel and decrease clearance.
c. Tighten nut (B).
4. Check measurements and if necessary, repeat
adjustment procedures.

Reel Frown
The reel is factory-set to frown (provide more clearance at the center of the reel than at the ends) to compensate
for reel
fl
exing.
