6.2 COMMUNICATION TEST
Perform the communication test between two wireless devices.
Use a pair of a parent device and a child or two child devices, and set one device as a sender and the other as a receiver.
Either device can be set to a sender or receiver. Set one device as a sender first and then the other one as a receiver.
Take the following two steps to perform the communication test.
RSSI and PER (packet error rate) can be measured.
1. Setting sender
Set a channel to measure.
2. Setting receiver
Set the same channel as
the sender.

6.2.1 SETTING SENDER
Set the first wireless device as a sender.
1) Both sleeve and rooftop antennas can be used.
2) The transmitter power output in the communication test is the value set in the device.
Refer to the manual of the device to change the setting value, if necessary.
3) Connect the device to the PC with the maintenance console using a mini USB cable and turn on the power of the device.
4) Start the maintenance console and click [Environment setup] on the main screen to open “Environment setup” screen.
