920MHz Band Wireless Device (Korea) USERS MANUAL EM-9121 Rev. 1
7.1.13 NETWORK SCALE AND QUALITY SETTINGS
The transmission frequency of control signals to maintain a wireless network is optimized according to the number of wireless de-
vices connected to the network.
Set the same device type and the number of devices to the wireless devices of the same PAN ID (group number).
The default is child (fixed), 1 to 30 devices. Select appropriate one in configuring the system.
When the actual device type or number is different from the setting, a malfunction such as data omission and separation of a child
device from the network may occur, and also it may take longer time to detect the separation.
When the network quality is set to ‘highest frequency of route switching and delay’, the packet arrival rate is improved.
However, the frequency of retransmission becomes also higher than ‘standard’ to improve the reachability and the arrival (delay)
time of data tends to be longer.
Set the network quality to ‘standard’ to keep balance of the data arrival time and the delay time, and to ‘higher’ or ‘highest’ to em-
phasize the arrival time.

When wireless devices are used in low-speed moving devices
Data collection and control of moving child devices (4 km or less per hour) is possible when the parent and child devices are set to
'low speed moving mode'.
The low speed moving mode can be used in the configuration consisting of a parent device, repeaters and the low-speed moving
child devices.
The moving child devices do not have a relay function.
While moving, they switch the destination among the parent device and repeaters which is in an appropriate radio wave environment.
One network contains up to 50 repeaters and moving child devices.
It is premised that the parent device and repeaters are not powered off, and the radio wave from them reaches the ranges where
the child devices move.
In case of the parent device powered off/on after the network configuration, it may take maximum 1 hour to restore the network.
7.1.14 PASSWORD TO CONNECT DEVICE
A password to login from the maintenance console for a wireless device is configurable. For security reasons, it is highly recom-
mended to change the factory setting to new one. The specifications of the password are as shown in the table below.
