First Audio/Video connections
To start using your OkyFly2, just connect the microphone and the TV
(and the amplification system, if used).
Connecting 1 or 2 Microphones
Connect the OkyMic microphone
supplied to one of the inputs on the
front part of OkyFly2, using the cable
supplied.
The two microphone inputs are identical and
can be used to connect 1 or 2 microphones.
It’s therefore possible to amplify for example
one or two voices, a voice and chorus, a voice
and an acoustic instrument, etc.
You can use any dynamic microphone.
Obviously, the better the microphone, the
better the results...
Connecting to a TV set
Use the AV (Audio Video) cable supplied to connect OkyFly2 to the SCART (or AV)
connector of your television set.
You can use numerous connection
options, according to the type of
equipment available and the sound
quality and power required.
In the “Connection Examples” chapter, you
can find various solutions, from which you
can choose whichever is most suited to your
needs.
N.B.: the example illustrated alongside only shows the easiest
connection, not necessarily the best: In fact, in the majority of
cases, the power and quality of a television set’s amplification is
rather poor, or at least not particularly suited to this use.
Switch on the TV and set it at AV.
Set the volume of your sound system, whatever type it is (TV, Hi-Fi, audio
mixer, etc.), at a moderate level, at least initially: this will avoid sudden signal
peaks, and you can always adjust the volume later.
