IMPORTANT: These parameters will effect only live network transmission with the live window
toggle bar option set to LQ (low quality). You can also use it to adapt to low or bad internet
connection circumstances by choosing lower quality and fewer frames. If you would like to have
higher quality video transmission please set live window toggle bar to HQ.
The HQ option will use the parameters made within the record > quality and framerate menu of the
recorder.
5.7.3 DDNS Setup
A DynDNS address is necessary if you want to access your recorder via Internet and your internet service
provider distributes (as it is common usage) dynamic external IP-addresses. Dynamic IP-addresses change
every 24 hours. Hence the need to setup an unchanging address, that enables you to access your recorder
always with the same URL. You need to register a free user account with a DDNS-Service Provider, e.g.
no-ip.com. After you’ve received your hostname, username and password you may enter these informations
here.
CAUTION: If you access your recorder via an internet router please do not enter DDNS-information
into this recorder menu. Instead, please use your internet router as the main DDNS-client. If you use
the recorder as a dial in device to connect to the internet via modem (ADSL, PPPoE) you must enter
the DDNS-Information directly into this menu, such as follows:
