Step 2) Plugthesolenoidvalveintotheapplicableelectrical
outlet.Atthisstage,thefunctionalityofthesolenoidvalve
canbetestedbypressingthesolenoidtestbuttonlocatedon
theupperleftofthecircuitboard.Manuallydepressing(and
holding)thisbuttonwillcompletetheelectricalcircuitandwill
openthenormallyclosedsolenoidvalve.Youshouldbeableto
heartheactivationofthesolenoidvalveatthisstagetoensure
thevalveisfunctioningproperly(seeFig.4).
Step 3) MakesureyourUVcontrollerisunpluggedfromthe
powersource.Oncealltheseconnectionshavebeenmade,
affixthemaleIEPplugofthesolenoidmodulecableintothe
IEPportonthecontroller(seeFig.5),oranyotheravailable
IEPportsuchastheUVsensor,4-20mAmoduleorremote
alarmmodule.ItdoesnotmatterwhichIEPportanymodule
isattachedto,aslongastheyareattached.
OPERATION
Step 1) PlugtheBLACKCOMBcontrollerintothepower
sourceandmakesurethesolenoidmoduleisactivatedon
thecontroller.Duringthestart-upsequence,theSOLENOID
MODULEscreenwillindicatea“initialized”whenthemodule
isactivatedproperly(seeFig.6).
