Device Operation
Make sure that the device is connected with the mains and correct voltage is given. The permissible
voltage range for laser systems of the type SimPlex is 100 - 240VAC at 50 - 60 Hz mains frequency. In
addition, the key switch should be in the On mode (green dot) and the remote connection is bridged
through an emergency - off switch. For some functions, the SD card which is also delivered must be
disconnected.
To the operation of the system in the ILDA mode is a valid ILDA output device are connected with the
ILDA input with the system. Once this is plugged into the system, the system will automatically switch
in the ILDA mode.
For the configuration of the laser system, a display (4), a multifunctional encoder (9), as well as one
zoom potentiometer (8) are available.
5.1
Display section and projector settings
After turning on the laser system, the text "MINISD LASER VER1.0" appears as well as the version of
the micro-controller of instance on the display. After a few seconds, the device can be configured
using the multifunctional encoder.
The basic functions of the buttons are explained below:
Turn: Through the various menu items
Short press: Confirms an entry / opens the selected menu item
Long press (2 sec.): returns to the main menu / in the next lower menu level
Menu items:
1. Mode
Selects the operating mode of the output.
2. SD SHOW
Basic settings on the issue can be made. The following settings can be made:
- X/Y Mirror: Inverts the X - or Y-axis of the scanner
- Color Setting: Adjusts the color configuration of the laser system, it can be selected between one-
coloured, two-tone and tri-color selected.
Recommended configuration: multi color (tri-color)
- Scan Rate:
Represents the down speed of the scanner 1-20 kpps
Recommended configuration: 20 kpps
