Empty Pipe Setup
This parameter is used to overcome the possible
problems that usually show up when the pipe
being measured is empty. Since signals can be
transmitted through the pipe wall, the flow meter
may still read a flow while measuring an empty
pipe. To prevent this from happening, you can
specify a value. When the signal quality falls below
this value, the measurement stops automatically.
If the flow meter is already able to stop measuring
when the pipe is empty, a value in the range of 30
to 40 should also be entered in this window to
ensure no measurement when the pipe is empty.
It should be understood that the instrument is
NOT designed to function correctly on an empty
pipe.
