CHAPTER 4: INSTALLATION AND USE

4-13

SERIES WS 2 - F190054000

5.  ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

Personal safety

– unit integrity

To  prevent  injuries  to  persons  or  damage  to  things,  the  unit  electrical  connection
must be done by qualified electricians in compliance with safety procedures.
Before doing the electrical wiring, make sure the line is not powered and cannot be
turned on by external personnel.

The  unit  is  equipped  with  an  equipotential  protection  circuit  in  compliance  with  standard  EN
60204-1 1998. In order to have an effective protection system against indirect contacts, the power
line must be outfitted with a circuit breaker that will automatically interrupt power in the event of
an insulation failure, in compliance with the regulations 413.1 of standard IEC 364-4-41.

Unless  otherwise  indicated  on  the  identification  plate,  the  electrical  wiring  must  be  done  with  a  3P  +PE
cable with adequate section and characteristics in compliance with the applicable standards. The unit is
shipped from the factory with a 5 metre long 1.5 mm2 4G cable. If necessary, a 5G cable can be supplied
in replacement.

We recommend stopping the purifier when the machine tool is not running in order to:

avoid useless electricity consumption

avoid uselessly generating noise

increase filter working life.

5.1.  Power cord replacement:

Loosen the cable clamp on the back of the unit (a).

Loosen the 4 front screws on the control panel and remove the front cover.

Insert the power cable until you reach the control panel.

Fit a pin fork terminal on the three phase terminals and a spade terminal on the protection terminal.
Insert three phase wires on the connecting terminals of the motor protector switch L1

– L2 – L3 and

tighten them with max. torque of 2 Nm.

Make sure the motor protector switch calibration matches the electrical power data indicated on the
plate.

Insert the protection cable in the yellow/green terminal and tighten the screw.

Reassemble the front cover and loosen the screws.

Tighten the rear cable gland and check that the cable is sealed securely.

Connect the power supply cable to the mains supply using proper components that comply with the
applicable standards.

When installation is completed, release the two  latches and  lift the  top  part of the unit to check the
impeller.

In compliance  with safety  regulations,  in  sequence  push  the  start  and  stop  buttons  and  make  sure
the rotation of the impeller (rotation is clockwise on the extraction side) matches that of the  arrow on
the impeller case.

If  the  arrow  and  the  direction  of  the  impeller  rotation  do  not  match,

after  having  sectioned  the

power line,

invert the two-phase power supply connection.

Restart the unit and check that the rotation direction matches the arrow.

b)  Removal of cover

c)  Electrical connection
