ments of European Parliament and Council Direc-
tive 97/27/EC and EC Directive EN 1645-2.
Following from these, a number of terms and
weight specifications are changing:

Total technically permissible mass(es)
(for-
merly “maximum permissible gross weight”).
2.
Unladen mass in running order
(formerly
“unladen weight”). This weight contains the
mass with the following
standard equipment
:
fluids such as fresh water and gas to 90% of
ca cable drum, without optional extras.
3.
Maximum load
: this mass must not be
exceeded through personal equipment or
optional extras.
