7.2
Operation on mainboard MB SCI 835
There are
four push buttons
on the mainboard of the
sensor control unit
SCU 835
for certain functions
(→ 7.2.1, 7.2.2, 7.2.3 and 7.2.4).
In addition, further functions are possible via various but-
ton combinations (→ 7.2.5).
7.2.1
Reset push button
The
RESET
button can be used to reset alarm and fault events from the sensor cable
SEC 15
and/or device
faults of the sensor control unit
SCU 835
as soon as it is pressed .
Attention
Alarms and faults are
not
reset automatically!
Alarms can only be reset if the corresponding alarm criterion is no longer fulfilled. In other words, the cur-
rent temperature value
must be 20% below
the set differential alarm threshold or
5% below
the max-
imum alarm threshold.
Faults can only be reset, if the reason for the fault has been cleared.
If the
RESET
button is pressed for
20 seconds
, the device switches to inactive. This corresponds to the fol-
lowing note:
Attention
If a reset pulse
> 20 sec.
is sent via the
FACP
, the device is set inactive. In this case, both fault
LED
s

LED
flashing cyclically with
1Hz
(1 Hz 1 sec.). There is
no
measuring cycle on
sensor cable
I
and/or
II
and therefore
no
alarm can be issued in the event of fire. The fault is displayed
on the
FACP
.
7.2.2
MC-Restart push button
The microcontroller will be restarted by pressing the
MC-RESTART
button
.
