Connection cable CC 15
The connection cable
CC 15
is a fire alarm cable of the type
JE-H((St)H...Bd FE180 E30-E90
with functional integrity
E30-E90*
and is used for the connection between the sensor control unit
SCU 835
and connection boxes of type
CBO 15
, as well as for pre-
fabrication using connectors
SECcon 15-c/m
and
SECcon 15-c/f
.
The maximum cable lengths depend on the length of the used sensor
cable
SEC 15
at the two cable connections

of the device
(→ 3.2.3). * Functional integrity depends on the installation technique.

End device END
Attention
All sensor cable ends
must
be sealed with an end device
END
if they are not connected to a
CBO 15
connection box directly after cutting the sensor element.
Procedure:
Use a suitable cable cutter to cut the sensor cable straight and clean.
Push the end device completely onto the sensor element.
Shrink the end device completely by using a hot air gun.
Attention
If sensor cables are stored for a longer period of time, they
must
also
always
be protected against mois-
ture and have a shrunk end device
END
on the cable end. The inside of the cable drum or cable ring
should
always
have a
red
ESD
protection cap with a shorting plug. For large cable drums with lengths
>
500 m
of sensor cable, the
ESD
protective cap is sealed with a shrink hose. In the case of pre-as-
sembled cables or shorter lengths, the
ESD
protective cap is sealed with electrical insulating tape
(marked with
sealing
in the picture).
