Chapter 9-5. Keyboard Control DVR and PTZ
There are four main DVR features including multiplexer, menu setup, PTZ control, and
playback accessible by the keyboard. To operate PDR-2160 by PIH-931 keyboard, please
follow:
Chapter 9-5-1. Switch to PDR-2160 DVR Control Mode
Press the SHIFT button and the DVR button to set the keyboard to DVR control mode.

DVR MODE ID=xxx
Enter PDR-2160 DVR/485ID from 1~255 using the number
pad and press the DVR button to control the DVR.
Example: Control DVR #12.

Note:
the number entered will be shown on the LCD panel in the format of DVR MODE
ID=xxx.
2) Call Camera
After PDR-2160 gets controlled, e
nter a camera number from 1 to 16 using the number pad
and press the CAM
button to select the camera
.
Example: Call camera #8 of DVR #12.

A user can also use Cascading Camera Name (camera direct access mode) to access a
camera. Enter the camera’s ID (1~4080) and press CAM button. The camera ID sent by
keyboard gets resolved (divided by 16) to its DVR.
