Use the 

Save and activate Preset / Offset

 function (set “02” in the register 48)

to store and activate the new value.
The max. allowed Preset value depends on the set resolution:

 max preset = 00 FF FFh (16 bits)

resolution = 0.05

 max preset = 01 FF FFh (17 bits)

resolution = 0.01

 max preset = 07 FF FFh (19 bits)

resolution = 0.005

The Offset value must be less than or equal to the difference between the
overall   position   information   (24   bits,   see
