5.5 Final Verification / Checkout
When the system is now fully setup, the final verification is required to conduct
before demo or handle over to the user end. These performance procedures can be
divided as follows:
Slit lamp Integrity Rechecks
System Initialization Rechecks
Pre-check / Alignment LDU
When the Laser Delivery unit has been fitted to the Slit lamp the alignment of the
Laser beam with reference to the Slit lamp needs to be checked and adjusted
accordingly. The following procedures will guide you through the entire pre-check
and alignment process. Three different types of LDU systems are detailed as follows:
Slit lamp (Integrated)
LIO (Optional)
Endoprobe (Optional)
A. Integrated Slit lamp LDU
Prior to pre-check and realign the integrated Slit lamp LDU, ensure all the corrected
installation or setup are in placed (including eye piece dioptre setting, fiber
connection, and console setup and on) prior to proceed the following steps.
Slit Integrity Checkout
1.
Insert the Slit lamp target rod into the Slit lamp or set up a target to view the
Illumination spot
2.
Set a narrow slit width with low intensity illumination and verify that the slit is
focused and that the two slit lines are aligned together for the Integrated
Delivery Unit Slit lamp. If not align, proceed to service manual realignment
section.
3.
Check the four filter wheel settings are ok and display accordingly
4.
Validate the five aperture settings are functioning accordingly
5.
Validate the slit fully opening and closing position functionality
6.
Validate there is no illumination when slit is fully closed
7.
Set slit setting to narrow and rotate

Check the eyepiece firmly fit into the binocular and can be fully adjusted

Illumination tower and binocular arm can be swung side to side
