You can also place calls from your phone by using
Telecom Voice Command, speed dialing numbers
from your Contacts, and using your Call History
listings.
Dialing Options
When you enter numbers in standby mode, you will
see a variety of dialing options appear on the
phone’s display screen.

Call
dials the displayed phone number.
䢇
Contact Match
allows you to find a contact match
for the displayed number. (When more than 3
numbers are entered, this option is displayed.)
䢇
Send Message
allows you to send a text message
or picture mail to the number being dialed.
䢇
Save
allows you to enter a seven- or ten-digit
number (phone number and area code) and press
Save to save the phone number in your Contacts.

Find
allows you to enter a digit or string of digits.
(See “Finding a Phone Number” on page 29.)

Hard Pause
allows you to enter a hard pause. (See
“Dialing and Saving Phone Numbers With Pauses”
on page 30.)

2-sec Pause
allows you to enter a two-second
pause.
Answering Calls
To answer an incoming call:
1. Make sure your phone is on. (If your phone is off,
incoming calls go to voicemail.)
2. Press
to answer an incoming call.
(Depending on your phone’s settings, you may
also answer incoming calls by opening the phone
or by pressing any number key.)
Tip:
To speed dial a phone number from standby mode,
press and hold the speed dial number. If the speed dial
number is two digits, enter the first digit, and then press
and hold the second digit. (For information on setting up
speed dial numbers, see “Assigning Speed Dial Numbers”
on page 60.)
