An FTP destination could also be another PostScript
printer; for example, a color document can be scanned and
then sent to a color printer.
Sending a document to an FTP server is similar to sending
a fax. The difference is that you are sending the
information over your network instead of over the phone
line.
Above and below: When scanning a document, users can
adjust the scanning resolution by pressing on the left or
right arrows.
When scanning a document, users can select the output
format (PDF, Secure PDF, TIFF, JPEG or XPS) for the
scanned image. Files can be scanned and saved onto the
network, FTP site or a USB memory stick.
The e-mail options button provides users with the
opportunity of editing the e-mail subject, naming their file
attachment and adding a message.
Users can also use the device to e-mail scanned
documents to one or more recipients. There are three ways
to send an e-mail from the device: you can type the e-mail
address, use a shortcut number, or use the address book.
