1. Remove the left side cover. See

2. Remove the gear train assembly. See

“Main drive assembly

removal” on page 4-55

3. Remove the screw and solenoid (A).

4. With the printer on its back, remove the D–roll. See

“D–roll

feed removal, tray 1” on page 4-44

Note: Slowly remove the shaft (B) while facing the D–roll end
(see

page 4-44

). Capture the small washer and the bearing.

The bearing must be removed and the new one reinserted
through the opening adjacent to its operating location.
