Base Sensor Test

Use this to determine that the sensors located inside the printer are operating correctly.

The following sensors can be checked using this test:

•

Narrow Media

•

Input

•

Exit/Output

•

Front Door

CAUTION—SHOCK HAZARD:

Do not use your hand to toggle these switches. Use a nonconducting

item.

To run the test:

From the Diagnostics menu, navigate to

Base Sensor Test

Choose a sensor.

Manually actuate the sensor to verify that it toggles. If the sensor does not toggle, then it is malfunctioning.

Flash Test

This test veriﬁes the condition of the ﬂash device by writing data to it and then reading data from it.
