Configuration by Telnet

Telnet can be used to configure your NPC from any PC

anywhere on the network. These instructions are designed to

show you how to use telnet based on the Microsoft Windows

telnet client.

The following instructions and screen captures are applicable

for Windows 95/98/Me/NT4 and 2000. Minor variations may

exist in the format of the screens. For networks with routers,

you may need to contact your system administrator to insure

your workstation and the NPC are able to connect.

Starting the TELNET Client

Microsoft, beginning with Windows 95 included a TELNET client as

part of the operating system. To begin a TELNET session on your

PC, press the

START

button on the Taskbar and then select

RUN
