Diagnostics and troubleshooting

The LED displays provide information about possible warnings or errors (see chapter 3.5 "Display ele-
ments"
). Using the LED displays, you can determine the causes and initiate troubleshooting measures.

NOTICE

Contact Leuze subsidiary/customer service!

Ä

Please contact your responsible Leuze subsidiary or Leuze customer service if you cannot
rectify faults and errors with the configuration software (see chapter 11 "Service and
support"
).

Error

Possible error cause

Measures

Off

No supply voltage connected to the
device.

Check supply voltage.

Red, flashing

There is a device warning.

Query diagnostic data in the device and
carry out the resulting measures or reset.

Red, continuous light

Serious error

No function possible.

Internal device error.

Contact Leuze customer service (see chap-
ter 11 "Service and support").

Orange, flashing

Service operation is active.

Reset service operation, e.g. by resetting or
interrupting the supply voltage.

Error

Possible error cause

Measures

No communication
possible

Incorrect wiring.

Check wiring. RxD and TxD cables may be
swapped.

Different protocol settings.

Check protocol settings in the device and in
the

Sensor Studio

 configuration software or

switch device to the

Service

 operating

mode.

No code reading pos-
sible

Code reading not possible (quality).

Improve code quality! Entire code in laser
line?

Code is not enabled.

Check entries in the code table (code type
and length).

Excessive reflections.

Increase angle of rotation of the laser beam
to > 10° with respect to vertical.
