Connection
Attention!
Do not open the device yourself under any circumstances! There is otherwise a risk of
uncontrolled emission of laser radiation from the device. The housing of the BCL 21/22
contains no parts that need to be adjusted or maintained by the user.
Before connecting the device, be sure that the supply voltage agrees with the value printed
on the nameplate.
Connection of the device and maintenance work while under voltage must only be carried
out by a qualified electrician.
The power supply unit for the generation of the supply voltage for the BCL 21/22 and the
MA 2/MA 4…/MA 2xxi must have a secure electrical insulation through double insulation
and safety transformers according to EN 60742/IEC 60742 (functional low voltage).
Be sure that the earthing conductor is connected correctly. Error-free operation is only
guaranteed when the device is properly earthed.
If faults cannot be corrected, the device should be removed from operation and protected
against possible use.
