During the battery test, the UPS transfers to Battery mode and discharges the
battery pack for 25 seconds. The front panel displays "
Battery test in
progress
" and the percentage of the test completed.
Recycling the used equipment
Contact your local recycling or hazardous waste center for information on proper
disposal of the used equipment. Refer to the
Lenovo Systems Environmental Notices
and User Guide on the Lenovo Documentation CD for more information.

Do not dispose of batteries in a fire or expose them to temperatures higher than
100°C (212°F). Battery packs might explode.

Do not open or mutilate the batteries. Released electrolyte is harmful to the skin
and eyes. It can be toxic.

Dispose of the battery as required by local ordinances or regulations.
Do not discard waste electrical or electronic equipment (WEEE) in the trash. For
proper disposal, contact your local recycling/reuse or hazardous waste center.
Do not discard the UPS or the UPS batteries in the trash. This product contains
sealed lead acid batteries and must be disposed of properly. For more
