Chapter 3: ADM/ASM-680x Embedded Audio Monitoring Serial Distribution Amplifier Modules

Monitor Swap

The monitor swap control is controlled via convenient toggle switches at
the front of the module. As shown in the block diagram, monitor swap
only affects the analog output in the ADM series. This allows the user to
monitor the analog outputs on the second channel while not affecting
the AES outputs.

This is functionally illustrated in the table below:

Remote control of the swap feature is supported when the module is
installed in an FR-7001 frame. External contact closures are provided for
this feature. This feature is enabled by appropriately setting the

Analog Output Levels

Peak analog audio levels are user-adjustable and accessible pots are
provided at the front of the modules for calibration purposes. Outputs
are factory-set to the following levels:

• European Countries: 18 dBu corresponds to 0 dBFS input (full-scale

digital)

• Other: 24 dBu corresponds to 0 dBFS input (full-scale digital)
