Appliance and Equipment Operation
Appliance and equipment may vary according to the
particular model of Motorhome, specifications and
floorplan. Consult the information kit for operation and
maintenance details for the specific appliances and
equipment fitted to your Motorhome.
Refrigerator
The refrigerator in your Motorhome can be operated in
any of the following modes:
120 volt AC electric
1.
LP gas with 12 volt DC ignition
2.
12 volt DC
3.
IMPORTANT
It is very important that the Motorhome is leveled
correctly when parked for the refrigerator to operate
safely and properly.
Caution
If the Motorhome is parked off-level by more than a few
degrees for more than an hour, permanent damage
could be done to the refrigerator.
Caution
DO NOT store explosive substances in the refrigerator,
such as lighter fluid, petrol, ether, or the like.
When you park the Motorhome, normal levelling for
comfortable living will usually place it within satisfactory
level limits. Use a level to make sure.
When the refrigerator is not being used extended periods
of time, it should be emptied, switched off/defrosted,
cleaned, and the door left ajar. Use the travel latch to
lock the door in that position.
NOTE: The door should
be opened slightly to allow for air circulation and to
prevent odor or mold build-up.
Operation
See the refrigerator owner’s manual in the information
kit for detailed operating instructions for your specific to
your unit.
NOTE: The refrigerator is self-starting in all operation
modes.
Operating Tips
The refrigerator should be cold before placing items
1.
in it.
Do not put warm or hot items in the refrigerator. Allow
2.
them to cool off first.
Do not pack the refrigerator too full. To operate
3.
efficiently, the refrigerator needs air to circulate.
Use smaller containers to store items, i.e. - 1 liter
4.
rather than 4 liter.
Use containers that seal tightly.
5.
Use crumpled paper between containers to prevent
6.
rattling while driving.
Exterior refrigerator compartment
This exterior refrigerator compartment, accessible by
an exterior door (1) allows access to the refrigerator
for cleaning, inspection, maintenance and service. This
compartment should be kept clean and free of debris in
order to maintain efficient operation of the refrigerator.
