Post-Flight Operations
5
Read this chapter to learn about L-A Series aircraft post-flight operations.
GeoRef images
The GeoRef page will enable you to Geotag images when necessary if not already done in the
camera during the flight.
GeoRef will enable you to save GPS data (ALT/LONG/LAT) in EXIF files (directly in the photo
files) and also the attitude information (YAW/PITCH/ROLL) in an external file usable with
Agisoft or Pix4D.
GEOTAG procedure before processing images in a DEM software
1. Before opening OperationCenter, put in the same folder all your images AND the flight
data file (.lal file).
2. Erase ALL the images taken before take-off. As the synchronization is done when the
ENGINE is going full power at take-off, you have to erase all images taken before that.
Usually, it will only stay few images showing your hand on it, just before releasing the
aircraft for take off
3. Open OperationCenter
4. Open the GeoRef page and select the folder with both images and flight data file
5. Export to “EXIF” first
After exporting data to EXIF, you can proceed with a photo selection in order to erase all
unnecessary images. That will save you a lot of post treatment time, and increase the accuracy
of the final result.
