Sensors calibration
WARNING
: Sensors are essential for autopilot and you will have to re-calibrate them when
needed. At set up, aircraft will make a 1s series of BEEP when calibration have to be done.
You can also do it on a regular basis when heading accuracy is becoming low.
WARNING
: In order to get a good pre-flight sensors accuracy, it is essential to keep the
aircraft as horizontal and stable as possible from the battery connection and up to take-off.
WARNING
: In order to avoid any in-flight sensors perturbation, it is essential to place the
battery and battery cable in the good position, as shown in the “Getting Started” section of
this Manual.
WARNING
: For magnetometers only, calibration should be made outside, in a flying area,
with wing in place and camera ON (aircraft ready to fly).
Sensors calibration is done in 3 steps:
Accelerometers calibration (aircraft must be perfectly stable and horizontal)
Gyroscope calibration (aircraft must be perfectly stable during the process)
Magnetometers calibration (aircraft must be moved in all 3D directions during the
process)
