The down switch options available can be selected in the PCSS during configuration with the
ISaGRAF user application and it is then possible to connect for different operator station foot
and hand control combinations as detailed below in the following sections. The press brake
can also be configured for single or dual operator station by physically removing or adding the
second station by changing the electrical connections dependent on the down switch option
selected during the configuration of the PCSS. Changing the number of stations on the PCSS
is only possible when the press brake is switched off by modifying the electrical connections or
the ISaGRAF user application, which must then be downloaded.
I/O Channel 13 of the ANO board of the kernel software interface allows the down switch
option required to be selected. Entering the appropriate value for the down switch option
selection variable as detailed in each of the options described below will initialise the desired
down switch option when the PCSS software is started.
Communication with the CNC press controller is also required for some options to determine
the operator mode being used. It is not possible however to change the operator station
configuration, the inputs used by the PCSS or the function of the operator stations as part of
the down switch option selected. It is only possible to change the modes sent by the CNC
based on the operator station configuration.
