6.3. START-UP PROCEDURES
To start the machine:
- place the power cable plug in the slot located in the
base of the unit and insert the cable in the special
guide;
- remove the water tank, rinse and fill it using only fresh
non-carbonated drinking water;
- reposition the tank, with the cover;
- plug in the machine;
- connect the milk tube to the device and place one end
into the support present in the inner side of the unit;
- press the ON/Stand-by/Menu multifunction key.
On the display, the unit prompts you to set: the message
display language, the water hardness and the stand-by
time, after which it switches to Stand-by mode.
You are then asked to start filling the hydraulic circuit.
Then the heating cycle starts: the multi-function key
lights up steadily and the display shows the picture of a
thermometer.
After the heating cycle has finished, all dispensing but
-
tons are illuminated at the same time with a steady light.
The unit is ready for use.
Warning
The amount of water in the tank must never exceed
the maximum level (MAX).
Note
At first start-up, dispense at least 0.5 litres of water
with no capsule.
Note
When first starting to carry out a cleaning cycle of
the milk tube.
Note
For operating procedures and functioning logic of
the machine, follow the instructions provided in the
Installation Manual supplied with the machine.
7. PROGRAMMING
7.1. DOSES
•
ESPRESSO, LUNGO and COFFEE 8 OZ.
Adjust the dose as follows:
- insert a capsule Lavazza BLUE or EXPERT in the rel-
evant compartment;
- close the capsule loading lever;
- press and hold one of the buttons dispensing coffee
for at least 5 seconds

- release the button;
- dispensing begins;
[The display indicates the programming of the selected
beverage]
- once the desired amount is reached, stop the flow by
pressing the previously used button again.
Note
The amount of product dispensed (minimum 0.6 oz
/ 20 ml) can be changed by repeating the program-
ming. If dispensing is stopped before the minimum
amount is reached, the unit still stores the minimum
dose that can be set.
Note
If the dose setting exceeds the maximum amount
allowed (8 oz / 240 ml), dispensing stops automati-
cally, the selected button and the last set value is
saved in memory.
If a power cut should occur during the procedure,
the programming process will not be successful
and the last set dose remains saved.
•
MACCHIATO, CAPPUCCINO and LATTE
Adjust the dose as follows:
- insert a capsule Lavazza BLUE or EXPERT in the rel-
evant compartment;
- close the capsule loading lever;
- insert one end of the milk suction tube into a milk con-
tainer;
- press and hold one of the milk supply buttons for at
least 5 seconds

the programming mode];
