Kickstand
When parking, make sure that the motorcycle is on solid ground.
Push the kickstand as far down and forward as possible before
resting the motorcycle on it. The best stability will be achieved
by turning the handlebars all the way to the left, stopping the
motor, and then putting the motorcycle in fi rst gear.
Steering lock
Make sure that the motorcycle is evenly positioned and on
its kickstand. To lock the handlebar, turn it all the way to the
left. Push the cover to the side and place the key in the lock.
While moving the handlebar slightly, the key should be turned
anti-clockwise and pushed
further into the lock.
Then turn the key slightly
clockwise and pull it out
again. Push the cover back
into place. Reverse this
process to unlock the
handlebar. Remember to
turn the handlebar slightly
while turning the key.
**
Caution
** Be careful not to accidentally rest your foot
on the brake pedal while driving. This may cause damage
to the rear brake.
**
Caution
** Make sure the kickstand is on solid ground.
If the ground is soft, there may not be enough support to
prevent the motorcycle from falling over.
