Safety Mode
Safety Mode gives users of LAUDA constant temperature equipment the
option of defining a safe temperature state in advance. In the event of a
malfunction or error, the user can manually switch to this state quickly and
easily or allow the device to do so automatically.
When Safety Mode is active, the constant temperature equipment continues
to operate at the set temperature T
set
and control variable previously defined
in the Safety Mode menu.
In the Safety Mode submenu, the user specifies how the device should
respond (actions) if certain events occur.
Which events lead to the activation of Safety Mode?
Being activated manually via the constant temperature equipment.
Command via interface.
Being triggered by certain alarms.
Communication with the control station being interrupted.
What indicates that Safety Mode is active?
The
Safety Mode
tile in the Command Touch is activated.
What happens in active Safety Mode if there is no alarm pending?
The
Safety Mode
tile in the Command Touch is displayed with a yellow
icon. Tapping the tile terminates
Safety Mode
and the tile displays a gray
icon.
What happens in active Safety Mode if an alarm is pending?
The
Alarm
window appears on the Command Touch. The
Safety Mode
tile is displayed with a yellow icon. You cannot exit
Safety Mode
by
touching the tile. You can only exit Safety Mode using the
Safety Mode
tile once the alarm has been acknowledged on the device.
Special case
Overtemperature
The operator can set the device to Safety Mode by pressing the
[Safety Mode] tile.
